On behalf of the Carter-Lawrence Engineering Magnet School family, we welcome you! Carter Lawrence is a high achieving school with a culture of kindness. We have a committed faculty and staff that celebrates the individuality of every student. We believe that all students can learn and learning should be fun.
I am truly honored to serve in the capacity as the Executive Principal for Carter-Lawrence. We know that all students learn differently. For this reason, my goal will be to ensure the continued implementation of STEAM. STEAM provides students with a variety of access points to learning through science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Lessons that include components of STEAM foster environments where students are engaged; invited to explore; encouraged to explain their thinking in multiple ways; and connects students' learning to real-world experiences.
We welcome families to be engaged in the learning process with us. We do believe that students achieve at higher levels when they have the support of their parents/guardians. We hope that you will remain aware of your child's academic progress by frequently visiting the family portal. Additionally, we invite you to volunteer throughout the school year.
